Scotland Is My Muse

Solo Exhibition by Ron Colbroth

Scotland has a spirit that inspires my creativity. There is a beauty to Scotland that I have rarely seen elsewhere in the world. I love the way the hills roll and are contoured by the light, how the trees are bent and gnarled from fierce storms and winds, and the magnificence of the Highlands.

Although I have traveled throughout Scotland, I have spent the most time in Southwest Scotland in Kirkcudbrightshire, where I can grab my camera and just roam along narrow roads free from traffic and photograph the countryside. Then the next day I can retrace my steps from the day before and find a whole new palette to work with.

The images are a few of my favorites over the years.
